Eddy Blake - Montreal QC
Eddy Blake is a stand up bassist/vocalist from Montreal. He is known for the rockabilly style bass playing, renowned for doing so well while literally standing atop his double bass. Eddy also has a sweet soulful Rockabilly Country voice, with a repertoire of Old Time and original material ranging from dark crushing ballads to the delightfully absurd.
Eddy fronted the Cockroaches, legendary Montreal punk rockabilly trio. During the band’s 5 years, they released one 7” ep on Solid Sex Lovie Doll Records and a full length CD on Real North Records. The band toured Europe and eastern Canada and were featured on the Bravo TV documentary Rockabilly 514.

2012 - The Year of MOAR BURLESQUE!

2012 is shaping up to be a great year!  Pink Velvet Burlesque has lots of exciting plans in the works, including the following show schedule at Menz Bar:

 

I'm also booking other shows and events and am looking forward to what will hopefully be my busiest burlesque year yet!  If you're interested in booking me, drop me an email! kaylicious1(AT)gmail(DOT)com!

My plans this year also involve travelling to the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend in Las Vegas in June, (I've even applied to perform in the Miss Exotic World Pageant! *fingers crossed*)  and I'm looking forward to going back to the Toronto Burlesque Festival and will be once again applying to perform there.

All in all, it's lining up to be an exciting year!  I'm looking forward to it!

A Whole 'Nother Thang

One of my absolute favourite bands, the Trouble Shooters (check them out on Facebook) are having a CD release party for their album, A Whole 'Nother Thang.  The boys will be playing up a storm, and the Deadly Hearts will also be playing.

I'll be making a special appearance on stage with the Trouble Shooters!
